Archive access probe: TESScut cutout, 2026-09-23

The first end-to-end check of the MAST client and provenance ledger: one small TESS full-frame-image cutout retrieved, checksummed, ledgered and checked for completeness. A data-health check, not an astrophysical measurement.

Ledger run #1 retrieved a 5×5-pixel TESScut cutout for sector 12 in the pi Mensae field and recorded two data-health measurements: the number of cadences and the fraction of finite flux values. They show the pipeline obtains usable data; they say nothing about any astrophysical signal.

The measurements cite their input product by an ID that does not exactly match the product row in the ledger. The site shows the link as unresolved instead of guessing it.
